Valloyrn and NPCS
There has been some nasty rumors going around about the NPC characters and the staff using them. I want to bring them to an end. I , along with my senior staff members, have laid ground rules for the Gildorym staff team on how the NPCs are to be used. They are not a tool for Staff to metagame. They are not a tool for Staff to abuse. They are not a tool for Staff to bully, harass, or be down right vicious to the community base. They are characters available for the staff to play to help cultivate RP within the spawn city of Valloryn as well as help drive the continuation of our server history and lore, as these characters are apart of the bigger picture.
Staff have defined and clearly stated rules on what they can and can not do on the NPC characters. They also have to abide to the server rules. The senior staff and I have also set up a intensive system to record who plays what NPC, what they do on said NPC, and even information on the NPC so that way they are played correctly. Some NPCs are open to all of staff to play while others are closed to certain staff due to their position.
Most of you have seen Admin Strykes post in Discord by now, however I still want to engrain the clarification here. First, the laws are an IC thing. They have not been created for a way to allow staff to powergame, metagame or abuse powers to take advantage of the player base. These laws are no different than the laws that have been ICly created in the past on the old map. And are no harsher than the laws created by other players and their characters. Its Roleplay. Its IC. IC laws are not OOC rules. Never have been, never will be. Server Rules are clearly stated and are to be followed.
"They are IC laws written by an IC person about IC things. They can be broken or followed IC by your personal choice, first may or may not come with IC consequences, as it is the thing with laws." -Admin Stryke
