Congratulations! Valloyrn checklist is now completed! The community put in a lot of time, effort, materials and RP into building our spawn city of Valloyrn. Thank you to every member who assisted in the community wide project, no matter how big or small your part played.
On Sunday May 14th - players will be able to freely explore and settle outside of Valloyrn. Keep in mind though, things are still dangerous. However, you won't require a DM any longer to leave Valloyrn.
If you are player looking to establish your own realm outside of Valloyrn, make sure you read the following threads first and are aware of what it takes to lead a player ran realm.
Few key notes about the veil lift: Due to the guide layout on how player realms will operate and how they grow and expand, please remember we will be enforcing this guide. If you are interested in creating and running a player established realm, please /please/ read the above linked guides. Currently, we are only allowing 5 player settlements (1st step to establishing a player realm). It will be a first come and first serve basis. When a settlement is officially established and recognized by staff, your settlement will be listed on the realm thread. Once all 5 slots are filled, that is it. If you build randomly in the wilderness, alone, you will encounter a DM who will push you back to the safety of already established locations. The wilderness is still a dangerous place folks, safety in numbers.
Last weekend we introduced two new races, both require an advanced race application. Gildorym now offers the race options of Tieflings and Dragonborn. Each were introduced last weekend with their own server wide events. Please make sure you read over the race page associated with each race before applying to ensure you will play them with the bounds established by our lore.
“The server has been around for many years yet our media is lacking a lot! Now is your chance to take part in this new adventure as we explore the new map and get new plug ins! Create a video any length you deem is appropriate for your theme/subject. It can be anything about the server: The new map, the story, your character, a tutorial about our systems and guides, could be interviews with characters, etc! Remember not to make it too long that it drags out but long enough you create a good video.” - Admin Kyazi
The following threads have been updated to reflect changes -
Dragonborn Race Page - Added information about their appearance and a link to information regarding honor and code
Advanced Race Application - (For Dragonborn) Added a reminder about appearance and a new question regarding your character's Clan and Honor code.
Language Thread - Added in Dragonborn and Tiefling language information
Pregnancy Guide - Added in Dragonborn and Tiefling gestation information.
NEW thread - Skill and Knowledge Check
Dm team have already been using a guide setup by HDM Mittens. Wanting the same thing to be implemented, her and I have decided to release Skills and Knowledge check for the server. Both player and staff will use the guide to perform skill checks and knowledge checks. Its purpose is primarily for events, however if you wish to roll for such things in everyday RP with other players you are more than welcome to do so. Just remember, you can not force or make it an obligation to have a player roll as a player or a staff member in a non event situation.
Staff Projects and Updates:
The Dev team is alive once again and have already started working on the giant task of getting the server prepped and ready for our large 1.11 update. Updating the server version is our main priority
Welcome back to staff - Biinary and Shayne , both joining the ranks as Devs.
